History of Garbology – Why Clutter Rosebud? Part I

People collect. They collect for all kinds of reasons. A lot of people are defined by what they collect.
I collect all kinds of things without realizing it; books records, posters, art, cd’s, video’s….
The list goes on and on. I don’t like to admit it. I pretend that I don’t collect and that because I am a collectibles dealer, I am merely socking it away for the right moment to sell. It’s not true. I am a closet collector.
I wonder if there is a 12 step program for collectors?
I wonder about young people? Clean apartments with loads of stuff on their computer that gets jammed into their heads.
I don’t know what’s better.
I have a hundred cookbooks. I use 10 all the time and another 10 once a year. What am I doing with those other 80 cookbooks?
This particular topic is one I can’t talk about myself much because I fear I am it.
I will talk about other people’s clutter and speculate why it happens.
I will start with Mr. Lee next time. A house filled like the Collier Brothers.
Anyone else out there with Collier Brother type situations? I wanna know!
